Two of the three attacks in this video did miss. You could tell because of the difference in sound. The attack that hit made a clunk whereas the other two just made a swoosh.

I'm downright shocked that they're getting group MMO-style combat to work without a targeting system. They're battling up a steep hill and so far it looks great.

Why are people whining? These animaitons are pretty awesome! Yes they still have work they also have 8 months before release so we should know they have a lot to touch up on. So far they are doing a pretty damn good job and deserve the praise they get. Also everyone needs to get off their high horse about the bow. If you honestly believe that is the final animation your an idiot.

Well, when you say "Talos", I think you're referring to Tiber Septim (who was also called "Talos" during his lifetime), even though it's theorized that Talos the deity is the oversoul of all Shezarrines, not just Tiber Septim. The reason I mention this is to differentiate between a supposed divine being, and a potentially very flawed mortal. For example, If "The Real Barenziah" is to be believed, Tiber Septim forced the abortion of his own child upon a pregnant Barenziah.

I keep pointing to Pelagius I because he directly succeded Tiber Septim as emperor, meaning had the child of Barenziah not been killed, they could have been the successor, not Pelagius I, which is why that's the only emperor I'm making a comparison to. Why was Pelagius I better than this child we know nothing about? Also, as I said before, the Reman dynasty had united Tamriel (except for Morrowind, with which there was a treaty).

Just because he was the first doesn't mean he was the only one who could have done it. Like I said, the Remans accomplished essentially the same thing without the Numidium. I'm not saying Tiber Septim shouldn't have used the Numidium, just like I'm not saying you shouldn't use a machine gun when fighting a guy twice your size. I am, however, saying that it makes the task much easier and much less impressive.

I'm just making sure we're talking about the man and not the god. Some people may assume that because he became a god (or rather, he was assimilated into a god) that he must himself have been flawless. Also, you said he was a great man, so I provided an example to the contrary where some sources say he killed his unborn child against the mother's will (something decidedly not great and very flawed). Also, to be fair, all of Tamriel had been united before (save for Morrowind/Resdayn).

Sometimes it is, sometimes not. If the current animations are what they're aiming for the might polish it but it will still not look realistic, but more of a cartoonish style. Many MMOs do it like this.

I agree. Having to buy the game and pay a subscription seems a bit cheeky. Should be one or the other, that is unless the $40 equates to, say, 4 months free subscription. I've not looked enough into the payment model to know whether that is already the case.

I'm talking about the character's animations, especially attacks and running cycles. It's unnaturely abrupt and needs to be smoothed.

Well some records say that he cut his own throat to put blame on the Bretons so that there would be others to follow behind him against those bretons. Not to mention anybody who sides/is helped by the underking deserves no title of a divine. I feel like the reason the Thalmor said there will be no Talos worship is because they found old history of these events and went by it. Whether or not they are true. . who knows. . there are many different view points on Talos history.
