Shannon Sharpe: 7th-round pick, Sterling’s little brother… Hall of Famer

Shannon Sharpe is undoubtedly one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history. After 14 seasons, he left the league as a multi-time champion and pro bowler, setting records in all major categories while revolutionizing how the position is played today. Besides his incredible numbers, Sharpe is the definition of a character. He thrived in the spotlight, quick to either gloat to journalists or trash his opponents on and off the field.

His phenomenal career mixed with that excellent gift of gab helped propel him to media stardom.
We know who this dude is. TV Personality, Hall of Fame Tight End Shannon Sharpe. But greatness often commands the most attention, outweighing the path it takes to get there. We’ll remember Sharpe as a legend, but he once had to fight for attention from NFL Scouts. A guy too small and slow for the pros. Someone who didn’t belong. And the dude who would never escape his brother's shadow. Let’s meet these versions of Shannon Sharpe in the Prism.

Glad Unc is getting more love. He is for sure one of the greatest TEs of all time and shouldn't be overshadowed by Gronk, Tony Gonzalez, or Travis Kelce's greatness.

On the Kelce brothers’ podcast recently, Shannon goes more in depth about his relationship with Sterling, and how, despite being only 3 years apart, he saw Sterling as a father figure after their Dad passed when they were young.

The dude never fails to spit fire whenever I see him on TV. I had no idea he was such a beast on the field

Redefining a position. Succeeding from a round where the chances are very low. Prominent after playing days are done. It's also impressive how much talent Denver got from late rounds or undrafted players in those 1997-98 Superbowl teams. Calling the White House over killing the Patriots never gets old.

I feel so bad for a Sterling. Dude won the triple crown outright. Was all pro three times. He was going to have a monster career catching TDs from Favre.

Lakers being up by 3-1 and undefeated when he watched them in Staples is a perfect timing to upload this

I can't believe SB made a video about Skip's co-host for Undisputed.

Retired the best TE in NFL history, you don’t have to be humble to be great if they hate you and you can back it up on the field your a goat

Unk was my fav player growing up, I always wanted to be like him when I was playing. His greatness is unmatched.

When he was on my Ravens for two seasons, he was our big playmaker, particularly in a Super Bowl run where the first three playoff games, he made big plays, and even in the Super Bowl against NYG, they seemingly doubled him in the pass game leading to our first touchdown.

I’ve never been the emotional type but I won’t lie when I say that that man made me tear up when he talked in his HOF speech about how much he loved his brother and how much he wished that he could give up his gold jacket that sterling would get in instead

*“So how did somebody with the dominance and skill of Barry Sanders end up Untitled?”*

Can you imagine how cool it would have been if Sterling had played long enough to be on that Packers team that played the Broncos in the SB?
