I'm totally into these old-school sportsman chats—they're just packed with wisdom and life lessons, and the principles are straightforward.

One of the things I take from this interview is Charles sharing stories about his grandma and the love and respect he talks about her just as Shannon does. Those Southerners grandma back in the days… So awesome they use to give their heart and soul for their families. Amazing.

I got to give a shout out to Charles Barkley. Even though he didn't attend an HBCU, he has giving millions to HBCUs in Alabama. Respect.

Charles barley is a delightful personality... he keeps jokes hidden in his pocket in conversations. At age 45... I'm always glad to see basketball players who represent and from a era of basketball we wont ever see again....

One thing I love about Charles in telling his story is how he had enough self-awareness to know when he was doing something wrong or was holding on to emotional pain that wasn't helping him and made a change for the better. My favorite examples were him turning away from a potential life of juvenile delinquency when he thought about his grandmother while hiding from police in the woods and realizing the anger he had on the basketball court stemmed from childhood pain of having an absent father growing up.

Not everyone does this.

What truly stands out about Shannon is his ability to gracefully pose a question and then step back, allowing others to fully express themselves without interruption. His genuine respect for others' perspectives shines through, making interactions with him a uniquely enriching experience. Shannon possesses a rare talent for fostering engaging conversations, and I deeply appreciate and admire that about him.

It's wisdom. What Charles Barkley has is wisdom, the kind that only comes from going through life and making mistakes and learning from them. There's a lot we could all learn from him, but the ability to be honest with ourselves and learn from where we go wrong is the biggest one

What impresses me the most about Sir Charles, is he talked to himself honestly like a best friend to overcome emotional wounds from childhood and became his best self. That is a mature man and great example for others. I salute you, Sir Charles. 🙏

Man, I love Charles. Dude is a national treasure. He's had an amazing career, and is an amazing person. He is honest to a fault, has an amazing sense of humor. He knows his strengths and knows his weaknesses. He's so self-aware. We need to protect Sir Charles and Shaq at all costs!!!!
