lego actually did that trick with 2 monkie kid sets, in that big city of lanterns the bubble tea shop counter was made up of those. really good detail especially with transparent studs

I love how the '1x1 tiles in a clear piece' thing was proven legal cause of Monkie Kid. (I really don't see the lmk sets talked about a lot so this was a nice change to that!)

The plates in between studs is actually proven to be illegal. One of the master builders I watch showed that it does indeed, it is less illegal than using the studded plates, but it still puts stress on the plate.

The glass one is certainly legal, because I have a severe flashbacks to when I saw it to the Lego Ninjago Movie sets. (Not the dock, can’t recall the name for the first part) but it’s in the instructions for the sushi restaurant.

The tiles between clips thing makes a lot more sense when you consider that in a lot of sets minifigs are meant to hold tiles, especially money pieces.

I actually have that LMK set twice, and i think they ended up changing it actually? Cause the old set from when it first released uses a simple transparent sticker on the brick while the 'updated' version uses that
