At 10:00 you mention Tommykaira not using the Subaru 2.5 litre engine.
JDM Impreza STI's never got the EJ257 2.5 litre and stuck with the EJ207 2.0 litre until production ended a few years ago.
The EJ257 was originally introduced so the STI could produce sufficient power on low-octane American petrol but was later used in other markets due to tightening emissions standards.
The EJ257 is known to have a few weaknesses with head gaskets and oil flow so most people prefer the 2 litre (also because they are more rev-happy).
As such the only JDM car that ever used the EJ257 was the Forester STI due to its low end torque.
It's interesting Tommykaira was using a 2.2 litre 20 years because there is a fairly recent trend of using 2.2 blocks to build engines now due to the balance of revs and torque.
Really enjoyed the video, just being a huge Subaru nerd 🤓

As a recommendation you should do a deep dive video on tuners such as revolfe and gemballa as gemballa had a few packages to cater to the japanese market

3:10 Finally someone also acknowledge the fact that it’s not a literal Skyline wagon 😭 I think you’re the only channel that ever mentions that it’s closely related more towards the Laurel than the Skyline 😆 It does make sense since you want to have a longer wheelbase for a wagon, and the chassis of the Laurel is essentially a slightly elongated Skyline chassis. I hope more nerdy enthusiasts could know your channel, since it’s probably the most geeky car channel I’ve ever seen till now. Keep up the good work bro 👍
