Показать описание

Easy to plant up and flowers last indoors through the spring for a welcoming spring scent that continues once you’ve come inside from the garden.
Your super-value kit includes:
45 pips (growing tips of flowers) of lily-of-the-valley
10 litres of ‘perfect-for-pots’ Gro-Sure Container and Basket Compost
1 rattan container with a generous area of 15in (38cm) by 6 in (15cm)
How does my complete planting kit arrive
You’ll receive your compost and your container, brought to your doorstep and your lily-of-the-valley plants arrive to you as root-like rhizomes with green tips (pips).
They are the perfect- stage in their development to get growing fast once you plant them up.
The rhizomes arrive to you in a sealed plastic bag with a little compost surrounding them. This gives them a humid surrounding environment which is perfect for them to survive the journey between our nursery and your home.
How to store your perennial flowers before planting
If you cannot plant up your perennial flower plants straight away into their permanent position make sure the root-like rhizomes of your plants are kept in bag for the humid environment at all times.
Keep them in a well-ventilated and light position in their plastic wallet after giving them water. Look to planting in their permanent position within 5-7 days.
How do I plant them up?
Simply fill your natural-look rattan container with Gro-Sure Container and Basket Compost. Your 10 litre bag fills the container, plus you’ll have a little left to top-dress more containers of beautiful flowers.
Place the nourishing rhizomes in the compost so the green-heads slightly show at the surface of the compost. (See James Oakey showing you how below)
Water your trough once you’ve planted your lily-of-the-valley rhizomes and keep on a light windowsill.
You want around 15 of the green-heads to show in the rattan container. And in April this will turn into a beautiful display of pretty white flowers full of perfume amid hosta-like spring-fresh leaves that capture the sunlight perfectly.
How many containers can I plant up?
Your 45 sprouting green-heads will fill 3 rattan containers- just fill each container with more Gro-Sure Container and Basket Compost and place 15 heads in each for 3 glorious and scented displays.
