In the show Mark reads old sci-fi books his book wrote. The books detail ways one could defeat a Viltrumite.

How come nobody is talking about how Viltrumites have special suits and guns of their own.

I gotta love how viltrumites gained their power from lots of extermination and purging of the weak while for Ragnars they just grew up on a slightly heavy planet and are able to just dog on them

The stardom and success of those books would have made "Nolan" even more human.

At the time Nolan wrote these, he still allegedly intended to serve the Viltrumite Empire, but writing several books secretly about Viltrumite weaknesses holds some interesting implications.

Either 1): Nolan intended to obscure these real dangers as just being fictional tales, thus making people less likely to believe they’d exist (much less hurt a Viltrumite)

Or 2): Nolan hoped someone would always find these hidden meanings in his stories and eventually try and rise up. He knew he couldn’t rebel himself as it’d put everyone he loved in danger, so he wrote secret messages in hopes of starting a human rebellion that’d find Viltrumite Weaknesses through his work.

I don’t know how his books didn’t succeed and how he gave up on writing, those books have good cover art, catchy titles, and have a lot of pages so it’s got to have a good story. I’d read his books the second I saw them

This is one facet of the story that didn’t get hashed out nearly enough. It kind of got lost with all the other crazy stuff going on but it might be one of the most important aspects of the eventual fight against the viltrumites. Speaking as someone who is ignorant of the comics

Also do bear in mind that Nolan is strong even by Viltrumite standrds, sure not The Strongest but he is up there. So if something bodied him even with difficulty than it can body another viltrumite with ease.
