What they want is our money... that's it that's all.

I have found that showing up in court being respectful and polite that most times the ticket will be amended to a non moving violation and a low fine. They honestly don’t want to go through the expense of trial so it’s a way for all involved to get something out of it. I’ve done this on 6 different occasions with what I consider satisfactory results for myself each time.

One thing I can agree with here is making sure ALL of the information on the ticket is accurate. The violation, your license information and vehicle description. The officer described my vehicle as a 4 door sedan when it’s actually a 2 door coupe. I argued that mistake in court saying it could end up being the difference between an innocent bystander and a vehicle involved in a homicide. The judge dismissed my ticket. All because of that one typo error on the vehicle

First of all, traffic tickets are a way for the government to fleece citizens for cash.  If they were really focused on public safety they would not take your money through a fine or fee.  Rather if they were going to do that, they would place that money into a separate account in the offenders name pending release of funds back to the offender after a period of time showing good conduct in driving.  That money should never go to the state that already receives tax money to pay for it.

I applaud the suggested tutorial; however mere "good impression" will not be enough. Also, if the charging officer, i.e. affiant, does not appear for court many district magistrates will either continue the case or let another officer testify in the affiant's stead. It's is nevertheless helpful to let as many people know though that they have options.

I had read a statute that stated if I'm driving a vehicle that's not my name and I believe there's insurance on it I do not have to plead guilty whether there is or isn't insurance on it and a case of that

I have been saying this for years!!! They sit and work their corner for their bosses. Politicians use the gun and the badge to force revenue out of people!

of equity. I guarantee you he will say there is no equity and he will not say that. However, if he does say that it is a court of equity, request to see the contract to which you are liable to such a claim and that if none exists, ask immediately for the case to be dismissed. If the judge says that this is a civil court, then ask that the case be dismissed due to the fact that there is no sworn injured party and therefore there is no case. If the judge says that the state or city whatever is the

I am a walking talking in the flesh citizen who has actually has received a speeding ticket issued to me for going 1 MPH over the speed limit! I know this isnt relevant to the point of your comment but I really did and it was by a living breathing cop who pulled me over and not one of those revenue generating traffic light photo machines that they try to pass off onto the public as "photo safe lights". True Story

I attended Traffic School for one ticket and the teacher who used to be a CHP Officer said that when you sign the ticket, it is supposed to be your promise to appear in court on  the matter. This is just another addition to what might work He said, take a friend, two or three with you well before 72 hours (but at least 24 hours after ticket  issued) and show up at the Court Clerk's window requesting to be heard in court that day. He said most times the ticket has not been processed yet. When the Clerk/Assistant declares that it is not possible because the ticket has not cleared yet, be sure your friends testify by Affidavit that they witnessed you Appear and be refused your right to be heard. Before court date, Submit any affidavits with the Clerk into the case file with request that the judge dismiss based on, you have already appeared as agreed.

I'm not certain about all states, but pleading no contest = guilty.

I missed my court date so I went up there the day after and I was calm in court and my "red light" ticket got dismissed somehow. They haven't called or sent me anything in the mail so does this mean I don't have to pay it?

I need some help. I attended court this morning for traffic violations. Before star I can fit you ask a few questions to the judge but before I could ask any the judge snapped and before I knew it the bailiff was behind me trying to handcuff me. even though I objected the court and judge entered a plea on my behalf. Is there anything I can file to do away with the plea that was entered for me?

I was pulled over for failing to lower your speed 20 mph under the speed limit due to a police officer that was on the side of the road pulled over another car, I got a warning for it. But I got a citation for "not pulling over" when it was a 4 lane because instead I pulled into a parking lot at a maximum of 4 seconds after the lights came on, and the officer said I am getting the citation for not pulling over because he thought I was going to "run". I dont know if I should go to court and fight it or not. I am 15 years of age clean background and no tickets. He was fining me 85$ I believe but I dont know what I should do at the moment my court date is on the 19th of August.
