Pea, on Monday, November 11, 2024, we celebrated USA Veteran’s Day. My father was just 18 when he and his fellow Navy sailors on the LST-709 landed at Leyte, one week after General MacArthur’s landing. I am deeply grateful to the Filipinos who fought alongside the US Military for freedom during WWII. I offer prayers of thanksgiving for their unique and effective guerrilla warfare tactics, which were so impactful that they were forever adopted by the US Military.

This man is very accurate. I actually married my wife in the Cebu City Palace of Justice in 1995, then entered back to the U.S. to process her. I juggled paperwork from both sides of the Pacific for months, but then after approval I went back to the Philippines and we went to the interview. In order to prove the love relationship bond, I brought a box with over 400 letters (300 I wrote to her, and 100 she wrote to me.) The consular officer looked at a couple of them and a couple minutes later her conditional foreign resident visa was approved. Two more points: 1. We did all of the paperwork and legwork ourselves, using government checklists and the post office. The internet was new back then, of course, so the process was arduous. 2. My wife and I drink coffee at that very Figaro’s in Ayala Center, Cebu frequently! Great interview, Pea!

The man speaks the truth. As a retired Immigration Officer, I know of what he speaks. I did the K3 visa, married in the Philippines. But the process and the paperwork is just as long. Hopefully your viewers heed that man's wisdom and knowledge. Great video Ms Pea
