Inside the deadliest concentration camp of the Second World War were a number of barbaric and brutal SS guards. One of those was Fritz Buntrock, who was referred to as 'The Bulldog,' because of his horrific behaviour. He was responsible for the gas chambers and he oversaw the deaths of thousands of people. He was known for driving people into the chambers, but for his actions he was sentenced to death and he was then executed inside a Polish prison.

My music teacher's wife had been in a concentration camp and lived to tell the tale. She still had the prisoner's serial number tattooed on her arm. She died during the mid-1980's.

I was just stood inside that gas chamber, in my own for about 5 mins. I'm still trying to find the right emotion now. Fear, horror, sadness, anger. Think I feel all of them. But, probably the most creepy thing any person can ever do, knowing what happened in there. I can't sleep.

The mother of a friend was housed in Treblinka as a little girl during WWII. She and the other Jewish was often fed stale mouldy bread, so much so that she developed a taste for it. She would allow bread to turn and eat it now and then for the rest of her life. She passed around 2007.
