It's quite tricky at first. After some miles you know when to kick and if it needs a little blip of throttle while kick-starting it. I love this bike. I have the same model. Soon be reaching 80K and so far it's still kicking hard. One thing I'll suggest. Learn how to kick it while standing on the bike without side stand.

I think there's a trick to add an "eye" which help you to see where the piston is and kick it to start it

First find TDC, you will be less sweaty. Took me also couple months. Now it goes like warm butter
