Do note that for the time being, this v40 will be the last version for this device to be known as Batocera.
Acmeplus moved to a fork project known as Knulli, and this will be firmware upgrade path down forward. Public beta is not out yet.

Where did you hear that the anbernic clamshell would have sticks? It didnt in the video i saw. Also im pretty sure n64 and psp are on the stock firmware, which ive seen a lot of people recommend sticking with until the batocera cfw matures a bit.

Batocera v40 is reportedly too heavy to run PSP and evidently N64 as efficiently as the stock Anbernic firmware (18-Apr'24 release). Fingers crossed for Batocera Knulli 64-bit for the H700 but it's in early alpha.

I really wish they would just standardize on the RK3566 for these budget handhelds, but perhaps the H700 saves us all a few bucks while providing better than expected 'budget' performance at the sub-$55 price-point. A quick check of the benchmarks suggests that the H700 in the latest XX Anbernics provides 65% of RK3566 performance, while the A133 in the TrimUI Smart Pro provides 70%. The elder RK3326 is just 43% as fast as the RK3566 in those same benchmarks. And yet I run a small handful of PSP, DC and N64 on the R36S (RK3326). For reference, running the entire PSP library requires 3x the performance of the RK3566 -- judging by T610 performance in PSP.

It sucks on my Rg35xxh, still asking me to configure my control port 1. At boot it asked me to configure port 2 command. Plus no wifi

Hey guys, it's been a while. Question, does Batocera detect the 2nd SD card slot for ROMS?

I'm yet to try it out. I'm using the second slot for ROMs. Nice tutorial! you guys are amazing as always

Great video. One question - does portmaster ports such as GTA vice city, Fallout, DevilutionX work on any custom FW? I've seen the list of ports you've shown, but it looks like 32bits only. Thanks ;)

Installation of Batocera is not working, it's breaking down the SD card into multiple partitions and the one with Batocera on it only has 4GB of storage.

Are your N64 files zipped up? Or unzipped? Do you see a performance increase if they are unzipped?

im installing the latest stock os. used partition and rufus. it always ended up making my 128sd to become 4gb capacity. the stock os was working fine on the device. its just it only has 4gb i cant put games anymore. u have idea why?
