Firing of a twentieth Scale model of an early eighteenth century English 6- Pounder on an early sea carriage.
The model gun has a calibre of 4,8mm and a calibre length of 21. This fully functional model is scratch built by hand.

Excellent work.
Even seeing a demonstration with such a small scale model on a tabletop gives a good insight in to naval gunnery during the eighteenth century. With the delay between lighting the touchhole and the gun actually firing one can imagine the importance of timing on a rolling ship.
