**A better place to register and unregister the listener is onPause() and onResume(). I know I did it only on onDestroy(), but it's much better to do it on the others. In a future video I will do it.

Thanks for a nice video! Is it possible to have this app run in the background upon phone startup? I would really like to have my phone turn off vibration automatically when lying flat on a table. I Have found no apps on play store that do that.

nice! but how much energy does it consume actually? I need to run a service in the background that would respond to some gestures (basically, I need it to regognize a triple wrist twist, both CW and CCW, like the famous Motorola's chop-chop gesture.
