I did mma for a little over 6 years. Never got too deep in it, I got to a point where I was comfortable and confident enough to take care of myself with most people. One of these martial arts was kravmaga. First day there as a 16 year old (I’m 6 ft 265 lbs at the time) and this 50 year old man (he ran the place) picks me up by the collar to prove his point. The amount of sparring we had to do in which he kicked my ass the entire time was relentless. First time I got hit with a liver shot, I was down for a solid 30 mins. Never left that open again

My friend recently came back out of retirement after 5 years of not doing it, he practiced for months on end until his fight, taking livershot after livershot the day before and the very next day in the second round, his opponent hit him with an open liver shot, he was down after that and lost the match, he was very disappointed in himself because he trained for that particular shot but livershots are no joke
