Dr. Tara Van Leuven, OB/GYN - MUSC Health

Tara Kelly Van Leuven, M.D., is an Obstetrican/Gynecologist, originally from Buffalo, NY. She earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC, and completed her residency training there as well, at Georgetown University Hospital, in 2012. She then practiced for 8 years at Georgetown as an attending physician in the Department of Ob/Gyn, focusing her practice on benign gynecologic surgery. In 2020, she and her family decided to relocate to the Charleston area, where she is excited to join the team at MUSC.

She has expertise in the treatment of fibroids and endometriosis, as well as minimally invasive surgery. She also enjoys taking care of women before, during and after pregnancy. She is committed to evidence-based medicine, the education of medical students and residents, as well as providing personalized, individual care to each and every one of her patients.
