Actually i think the jeans rule is just for the kinda schools in your country that you went to because i see most schools in a lot of countries allow it anyways-

I am so happy that I live in Denmark where 99, 99% of schools don't have a dresscode. I can teach wearing what ever clothes I like. It is of course implied not to show too much skin as it is work and there's kids and teens around, but no one needs a dress code to know that.

The jeans on Friday thing is only at some schools. For my school, teachers have no dress code, and the students are required to wear uniform every day (unless they have a pass) except for Thursday, and if you want to wear free dress (that still has a very strict dress code) on Thursday you have to pay.
