In this episode, Niall is asking: Was the Olympic Games Opening: Freedom of Expression or Blasphemy? The discussion stems from a recent controversy during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics. The segment, which parodied Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper with drag queens, a transgender model, and a singer made up as the Greek god of wine, has sparked outrage among Catholics and other Christian groups.

Well seeing who was the one who created it and came up with the idea it's no suprise since in all media the same people are behind insulting and making fun of all Christians of all faiths.

Try insulting the Koran. See what happens then. Why do we have to assimilate to everyones culture and religion and not the other way around.

The apology was not meant, sneering and justifying their actions

I believe in freedom of expression. Unfortunately, some people will use that freedom to ridicule and intimidate. This parody was inappropriate for the opening ceremony which was viewed worldwide and, I would imagine, lots of children. The display belongs in theaters where people can choose to view it or not. The parody had nothing to do with the Olympics. The venue was totally wrong. It was chosen for all the wrong reasons.

The official title: The Last Supper on the Seine. No, there's no connection at all. The giant golden Bull's head represents Baal which is a pagan God. Dionysus replaced Christ to represent chaos and debauchery. I'm not too sure what the small child represents, except perhaps the corruption of innocence. The mask of 'inclusion and diversity' slipped to reveal its true face.
Do you really need it all to be spelt out?

The DJ representing Jesus admitted that it was meant to offend Christians. She took that post down.
