Copenhagen Rosenborg Castle

Copenhagen Rosenborg Castle is right in the center​ of Copenhagen and is not to be missed. It's an easy walk to get to, just 25 minutes to walk there from our hotel near Central Station.

Rosenborg Castle Denmark was built in the early 17th century by one of the most famous of all Scandinavian kings – the flamboyant Christian IV. In fact, this castle is known as a castle of Dutch renaissance architectural style and was originally built as a summer palace for the Royals. Uniquely one of the best things about Rosenborg Castle is that it is open to the public for tours.

Entry to the Rosenberg Castle Garden is free, and visitors are able to walk across the bridge over the moat. In fact, they can walk right up to the front door of Rosenberg Castle for free. In fact, you can walk right around the castle for free and get some fantastic photos while you are at it.

To enter the castle will cost you 110 DKK per person, or about US $17. Moreover, that’s quite moderate for such a world-renowned attraction.
