To be fair, the way Liam played today he could have knocked out one of Chinese top players, including Ma Long whom he did beat on one of those occasions. However, with his two boys sitting inside cheering their hero dad, Ma Long played like the prime Ma Long and won't be denied by any opponents regardless how they play. When the goat plays like the goat, it's hard to take even one game even if you are playing the best game of your life.

By skipping WTT Macao, Ma Long seemd fresh and energetic. Lets see, if he can reclaim the crown at such an old age. I really hope to see the clash between him and the young blood Lin Shidong.

I know that Ma Long is the GOAT, but it doesnt make any less impressive that he is still so dominant at the sport at 35 years of age

Liam was playing outstandingly well during this match. Very good backhand rallies, good positioned shots and flicks; also nice forehand flicks above table. Nice match!
Ma Long was not gonna give in, especially playing in his home country and front of his family. Congrats to both players!

"Let" at 9.25. Unfortunately camera missed ball toss. Many players use arcing tosses to enhance service ... this rule is very often ignored... or bent.
