Blizzard (phase 3) on the North Slope (pipeline/oil fields, Alaska

when there is a phase III blizzard in the oil fields, no one moves. You can't take showers either. Water and food is trucked in and sewage is trucked out. Not knowing how long the blizzard will last, to conserve what water is on hand, we can't shower.
Only huge equipment (think road grader) can move, never alone, and not without permission during a phase III. Being on The Slope is like being in camp on the moon. Surreal experience
