I think ppl are overestimating grimmjow just bc he is their fav character. The two things he did in tybw was by sneak attacking from behind while they were being distracted. Even in the cfyow, even nel said she would stop him(this doesn’t prove she is stronger or weaker but it’s saying something that she was confident that she could stop him). Grimmjow was said to still be weaker than barragan. Ppl use ichibei saying that killing grimmjow would disturb the balance between the worlds to depict grimmjow as stronger than he actually is, but failed to mention that ichibei said this about nel, grimmjow, and harribel as they are the only strong remaining hollow. In conclusion, ppl like to twist statements and facts to try to make grimmjow appear stronger than he is.

Unfortunately agreed. Grimmjow is one of my favorite characters and he goes back and forth between my favorite Espada, along with Ulquiorra and Stark. He just realistically is having a hard time with most of these guys. At least these specific ones. He should be able to handle Berenice, Jerome and Lloyd, the sternritter kenny killed)

Unfortunately, Grimmjow is a brute force close combat fighter in a universe where these type of characters routinely get dog walked unless their name is Kenpachi, or Sajin, who literally had to play the blood price for a single W. He’s not weak, but most of the stern have abilities that require more than just force to compete with.
Man is sitting right next to Kensei and Soifon on characters who have cool abilities on paper, but pale in comparison to others in practice.
