Welcome & General Session: The Open Education Infrastructure

The term infrastructure often invokes thoughts of technologies and standards. However, the infrastructure of education more broadly - the core underlying components that make it function successfully - include additional pedagogical components, like learning outcomes, assessments, content, and credentials. This presentation will discuss the Open Education Infrastructure, an open, scalable approach to aligning the technical and pedagogical components of education in a manner designed to increase faculty and student agency, improve student outcomes, and decrease costs to institutions and students.
