I once did some yard chores for this old sawyer that I worked for. the first day I was there we were pounding 6" curleys through 2" rough-cut lumber for his corral's. he started calling me lightning which I assumed was pretty cool because I thought it was because I was such a quick and reliable helper. he always winked at me when he said it, so one day I asked what the lightning reference was for. imagine my chagrin when I asked if it was because I was so quick and he said it was because my hammer never hit the same place twice. LOL.
