Investigating 'The Best UFO Videos Ever Recorded'

Two mysterious videos showing highly detailed images of UFOs showed up online in the early 2000s. They generated millions of views and a lot of controversy. Could they be real? Many had tried to authenticate or debunk the clips but finding the person responsible was proving nearly impossible. L.A. Times reporter David Sarno dug in deep to find the person responsible for uploading what were being called "the best UFO videos ever recorded" and came up with some surprising answers.

I called this a fake LONG ago. Observe the palms. Identical palms do not exist in nature and there they are. This is a case where the animations are set in a sky setting and a palm tree is matted in over the animations to make them look like flying behind the trees. It was sloppy work to use the same palm tile more than once. Gave it away for me.

Um, I saw that video when it was first making its rounds and the original designer didn’t hide for very long. It was only a few months after it was released did he make a bunch more videos using the same ship and even showed how he edited it in the editing software he created it on. Sadly, making a hyper realistic POV video of a blurry ship moving behind scenery and casting accurate shadows is pretty easy to do. Even for the laymen. There are even ways to improve the believably of that video by making the ship move over the trees right as the trees move to the wind to simulate an interaction between the ship and the trees.

The design of it is remarkably like The Hover-Cycle, one of flying vehicles of the comic superhero team The Fantastic Four from The Fantastic Four comics, that the superhero team would use to fly to and from adventures when they weren't using their Pogo-Plane, Fantasticar and Skrull Saucer. It was explained how it was done in at least one video years ago. It's all CGI, from the crafts to the trees to the sunlight, the whole environment. I cannot recall what software was used, but I seem to remember vague mentions of Vue. I think it was very well done. The creators should license the model design to a model company. That would be VERY popular and would make them a lot of money!! I'd buy at least two, and then buy more for friends and family!!
