Can your employer monitor your private cell phone at work?

I keep it completely seperate, I have 2 phones and 2 laptops. Most employees go from nice and friendly to complete f#$& heads when you attempt to do anything of a personal nature on a work device…….even though it’s fine to call and email outside of work hours..

They can and do get into your personal phones. Don't think for a minute they don't. I've had it happen. I should have sued but it's over two years.
Also, if you do any type of healthcate job or are working in private homes homes but are working for a company. That company probably has an app you download to your phone to clock yourself in or look at your paystubs and it probably is the same one that lets them see what you are doing, manipulate your camera, and probably even has a key logger..
You could type messages to yourself that are creative and inflammatory to see who reacts to it. Not a good idea but an example could be that you hope something happens to the building and then the next day when there's an unplanned fire drill...you get where I am going...but I don't recommend that. Id rather you quietly gather irrefutable evidence and then make it known to all. They don't tell you they do this and they will certainly hate it if you can prove they are doing it. It's illegal in a lot of states so maybe a lawsuit needs to be brought against them so it's on record. This behavior is everywhere and I wish it wasn't true. Unfortunately it is true.

However since their has been an influx in work from home positions where people use their own private WiFi and internet, employers are watching people and their housemates’ privately owned devices regardless and their even harassing people with the information.
