Were they both liquid cooled? I know kayo makes an air-cooled 250 and a liquid cooled 250. There will be a significant power difference there.

Honda wasn't getting all its power down. Loose sand gravel or mud will make more powerful bikes spin and create a bigger rooster tail. On tarmack, im sure the difference would he a bit bigger
