The Montreux Convention states that no warships can enter the Black Sea - other than those of countries which border the Black Sea - when there is a conflict taking place in the Black Sea. Turkey is supposed to uphold the Montreux Convention. If Turkey allows US and UK warships into the Black Sea at this time Russia will see it as an act of war, breaking of the treaty and Turkey openly taking sides against it. I am not aware of any US or UK warships currently in the Black Sea. I believe the last US warship left in Dec 2021 and the last UK one sometime in 2022. They were only in the Black Sea then because they had entered the BS before the Special Military Operation of Russia had begun. The Montreux Convention should not allow them to enter now.
