This is still mind-boggling almost 3 years later. A helmet to helmet hit that happened well before the pass arrives, giving the receiver absolutely no chance to catch it. No penalty for either hit on defenseless receiver, roughing, or obviously pass interference. This truly is the worst call in NFL history.

I've been watching football for going on 50 years now. There have been plenty of bad calls, but this is certainly the worst call in history. No question. Not only was the call completely wrong, as everyone has pointed out, the ramifications from this "no call" completely changed this game, changed the Super Bowl, and altered the careers of both Drew Brees and Sean Payton, as this truly was their last best chance to win another SB. I also am someone who agrees even if they wouldn't have beaten the Patriots, they certainly would have put up more than 3 lousy points in that awful and dull SB that year.
