Scrappy Saturday! - Collage Book Pages...Fast Motion!

These collage pages are so much fun to do, so I craft along while you chat. Your spirit day stories reminded me of our Freaky Fridays. One morning at school my friend looked at my feet and said, “ Oh! Was it a Freaky Friday Shoe day today and I missed it?” I looked at my feet, and to my horror realized I was wearing two different shoes! I don’t know how I managed it. One was brown and the other was taupe and navy; one had a 1 1/2” inch heel, and the other was an earth shoe with the heel lower than the front of the shoe. I called my grandma, and she rescued me by bringing me the mates so I could hold my head up again. A funny memory now, but at the time I just couldn’t go through the whole school day like that. Bless you, sweet Grandma Honey in heaven.

Hello Gayle, so enjoyed watching your Scrappy Saturday today. While you were glueing, I was fussy cutting, so productive and also inspiring. I was so fortunate to receive 1800’ ledger ( France ) and letters from a friend in France 2 weeks ago! Ones had a seal stamped on them. Im framing 2 and scanned them all! Today I printed them. “Massaged” twisted turned to look old- now perfecting the art of staining tape to look old as some I tore! It’s a true labor of love. I’m learning from Ruby & Pearl! Her videos on “aging paper” is the best!

Fantastic idea to use the catalogs we get in the mail for collaging . My husband and I have our own business going on 46 years now. We are hoping to hang on for four more to make 50 years then retire. Some days it’s very hard to put all the distractions that you can have in a home aside and do my office work. Im not much of a people person so that part doesn’t bother me but not being able to stop at 5:00 and leave my work does. I’m so excited for retirement when I can try my hand at all the beautiful journaling crafts you have been so kind in sharing with us. Thank you. 😀
