That’s actually pretty interesting with the batteries. Maybe they’re doing that so they last even longer and that much safer by not having 100% battery.

that's actually very surprising given how abysmal the battery life is. Still, it's really nice to see them making an effort to extend the life of the cells

Undercharging is better for battery lifespan

Ah yes, Apples anti-repair mechanisms.

I just love the way he says “bahterry”

So basically someone can create a alternate battery pack with 17 hour of charge. with a better mounting

Maybe the wattage listed is true wattage accounting for efficiency of roughly 80%

Can y’all do a teardown on the Dell Optiplex 7050?

I know it is old but I still use one and need to clean it but don’t wanna risk shorting anything, and I trust you guys.

They’re definitely undercharging for sure. since the battery is discharged so quickly, undercharging the batteries still allows for some good battery health

They are actually giving you the real capacity, the batteries are 3.8/4.4v and must give 5v or more meaning they will use more mah than a higher voltage battery. Quite weird but actually all battery cases "lie" a fully charged 10.000mah battery will maybe give you 9000mah at 5v output if they are 3.8/4.4v, remember they will need to transform the voltage using more current in that.

I have my laptop set to only charge to 80% because its plugged in 99% of the time im using it because it drains in like an hour and a half, maybe 2 hours if i set it to get up to 100%. But it charges up quick too, so i cant complain too much.
And my s23 FE can charge to 80%, and like an hour before you normally start using it, it charges up to 100%. But sometimes if you wake up at like 5:30 and cant fall back asleep, but you normally get up at 7 or something, its still at 80%, but once you start using it, it only takes a little bit for that 20%

USB-C has a version with VGA-like screws. And USB-C PD supports up to 240W

The lower watt hour rating is probably something to do with using 3 batteries. The entire pack can only put out the watt hours of the weakest link. With 3 packs that's 3 times the chance of degradation.

Honestly capping the charge at 80% is smart for longevity and also artificially boosting charging speed😂

The best thing abozthis wireless headset is the battery pack wired to it.

It's like buying a cordless circular saw to avoid messing with the cable, but using a vacuum hose every time 😅

(JK, battery has to go somewhere 😅)

Was the 80% charge limit not a thing all Along?

It could be that the converter from 3.7v to 5v is only 80% efficient so it list it a 35wh. The boost converter is never 100% efficient

Saying they released an 80% charge limit like it’s forced on us

Pretty sure all modern tech has limited batteries. This is because a fully charged battery is unstable and will limit the life of the battery if left at 100% too much
