He’s a second round draft, yes u give him a chance to start and see how it goes. We have Baker Mayfield to turn to if it doesn’t work out but u give the kid a chance 100%. Pretty much all of the players he had at his disposal are all in the NFL and one is in Atlanta doing really well. He sat behind Brady for several years so I’m sure he picked up a lot of inside information over those years.

He threw for over 4000yds with 68.9 comp% with 43TD 9 ints in his SR. season. Then got to sit and watch, listen, study along side Tom Brady for a couple of years. He’s 6’5” 235. Other than getting in game experience, he’s has EVERY reason to be successful as a starting QB. Hes got a future HOF WR1 in Evans to throw to, and a WR2 in Godwin who’s a perennial pro bowler. He’s either got it, or he doesn’t. Not letting him start the first 4 or 6 games of the year would be idiotic. I don’t care if Mayfield is there or not.

I watched every game Trask played in college(go gators chomp) and one thing he has that is guts, he doesn't get phased by a bad pass which we all know is a big problem for new qbs in the NFL. Give him 1st teams reps and he will soar to the challenge at the very least.

Preseason games are largely experimental, and Trask's NFL debut was with an injured 3rd (4th really) string offense facing a starting Falcons defense who were going all in for what little honour was left of the NFC South last season. I doubt he'll beat out Baker, but we know very little of Kyle's capabilities, there's absolutely room to surprise, and there's a good likelihood they end up sharing snaps at some point mid season.

You left out the fact that Kyle Trask was runner-up for the Heisman Trophy. I’m telling you give him some good weapons and he will light it up. I’m a Florida State fan, but I watched him play for the entire duration that he started at Florida. And his connection with Kyle Pitts and Freddie swain was unbelievable so I can only imagine what he could do with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
