Multiple coins that do the same thing, regulation is coming and privacy coins are a big issue its main use case is to avoid I'm not sure if that has much longevity?

how does this do anything novel if you could simply use an anonymous bitcoin wallet with a vpn and transfer funds on/from this wallet using tumblers? If this was that great, why didn't hackers move on to this crypto yet, and instead still ask for bitcoin?
