The way her voice goes from silky to violent when the climax hits is one of the reasons Scylla is my favorite track from this last saga. That and I'm a sucker for vocal harmonies and Scylla has that in spades.

My kids and I have been obsessed with Epic lately. My 6-year-old asked me to tell KJ that her voice is so beautiful she listened to Scylla on repeat.

Honestly Scylla's voice is my fav out of all the Odysseus' opponents, it's so calm and soothing but at the same time low key terrifying when she starts eating the crew and her voice breaks into growl, I think this is the perfect cast really, no one could've make Scylla better than her!! Scylla scene is my fav out of all the musical not only bc of the majestic voice but also that energy where Odysseus understands he is a monster just like Scylla and comes in terms with that and accepts that. I also really like how Scylla's personality is conveyed through the singing and the song, it's as I said calm and soothing and comforting but the lyrics are dark as hell and it's like she is gently forcing Odysseus to accept that he is just like her, like lulling him into acceptence and saying that there's nothing bad about it, we're all like this deep inside; and kinda the way she treats this whole bloodshed not like a triumph like Poseidon or revenge like Polythemus, she treats it rather calmly as just something natural that should happen and that WILL happen, saying that you should just accept it, instead of trying to fight it or trying to defy your fate and trying to get out "dry" out of the dangerous situation (like Odysseus usually does). And like sometimes you need to accept change even if you don't like it now it can come in handy in the future and that change doesn't universally means bad, it's just different, and sometimes we need to accept that and move on. Yeah maybe you won't be how you used to be anymore but you will be a new you, bc you are evolving and that's ok, that's ok to change and become someone different from who you were. Maybe it's not that bad as you now think it is really, time will tell. I really like this message and this portrayal of her character, definitely my fav character in Epic (after Ody ofc❤️❤️😂).
