My father's name was Jack. The big story in my family was how bad he was. My mother clarified that probably daily. Anyway, as young girls we would sing that song. He finally left by the time I was 16 or so. I kind of wish the name had been something other than Jack. It was very convenient for my mother to solidify her contempt for him.
