Plot synopsis: partially inline with canon, where Oikawa and Iwaizumi are childhood friends who share the same passion in volleyball--EXCEPT, their relationship had gradually changed from platonic to romance, and Oikawa seems to have taken notice of this. Afraid that his feelings will destroyed the deep-rooted bond he had with Iwa, he tried to suppress it. Yet the more restraints there are the more abashed their interactions became. Frustrated and perplexed, Iwa decide to confront him; from recounting their childhood moments, realizing Oikawa’s obsession with holding onto the past, his persistence to ace in volleyball, and eventually, Iwa coming to terms with his feelings as well. After all, there’s no better foundation for love than friendship, right?

Lmao this totally disregarded what I said last time about not making any more AMVs. After having “Jenny” on repeat and surfing through Haikyuu’s fandom posts like a maniac, I just couldn’t help it! There’s so many great dynamics on the show, and IwaOi was my fav--hence I wanted to dedicate a vid about them. And tbh I just loved Oikawa as a character, so that might explain why I got very keen on these two. He acts cool and smug in front of almost everyone, but when it comes to Iwa-chan he’s such a dork lol. I thought he has one of the best character arcs in all animes that I’ve watched, too; compare to the prodigiously talented main leads, this dude only has his diligence to hang on to, and those amount of work sure as hell pays off by how skillful he serves and plays. I really couldn’t comprehend those who hate him tbh. I mean, sure, he teases Kageyama a lot (and almost attack my boi out of envy, but hey-- he was still young and couldn’t control himself back then), he’s a bit of a showoff, somewhat childish, but there was never a moment where he outright humiliates or hurt anyone. Heck, Oikawa’s even willing to give meaningful advice to his opponent/kouhai. Even if you considered him as trash, he’s a recyclable, quality one, ya’know? XDD and don’t get me started on his dynamic with Iwaizumi. They’re just so freakin’ awesome as a duo (and their ship name is hella adorable).

--Also I think I spent 4 hours on this. A lot quicker than I expected, but I guess that’s because I cut parts of the song off lol. Now whenever I hear “Jenny”, this vid and IwaOi will definitely haunt me. Way to go, Adeline. *pats self*
