5 Reasons Why The 911 (991) Turbo S Exclusive Series Is So Collectible!

In this video, we discuss 5 things that make the Turbo S Exclusive Series one of the most collectible 911's ever made!

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series is one of the rarest and most exquisite cars to leave the Weissach factory in modern times. Production has been limited to just 500 cars worldwide with only a small handful of these making it to the UK; believed to be around 29 registered examples on British soil. These cars were extremely difficult to get an allocation for from Porsche, with even some of the most serious Porsche collectors and customers missing out on a car. Mechanically the chassis and suspension setup remain largely the same, the phrase “you can’t improve on perfection” springs to mind. However, the engine does receive a power boost to just shy of 600bhp resulting in an improved 0 to 124mph time of just 9.6 seconds.

From an aesthetic stand point the Exclusive Series features a number of exterior changes, first and foremost is the sparkling exterior paint work, this example is sporting the exclusive Golden Yellow Metallic paint which is widely agreed as the best colour for this model. The new carbon fibre bonnet and roof feature exposed stripes similar to those seen on the GT2 RS and are complimented with additional carbon fibre sills, rear wing section and air intakes. Yellow calipers should appear as standard on the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), however the Exclusive Series continues the colour scheme further with gloss black calipers and contrasting gold Porsche lettering to compliment the 20” black and gold alloy wheels. A reworked diffuser and black rifled exhaust tailpipes give the rear of the car an even more aggressive look than before. Additionally a healthy smattering of ‘Exclusive Series’ badging and embroidery throughout this Turbo S along with a gold carbon fibre weave, contrast stitching and striped seats help to immediately differentiate it from a standard Turbo S. Overall, this is a supremely rare opportunity for serious enthusiasts and collectors to buy a delivery mileage example of the ultimate version of the Turbo S in this definitive exclusive colour.

The wheels with the giant brake discs look absolutely glorious.

Absolutely beautiful. With the amount of detail that’s gone into it I’m not surprised it’s limited to 500.

I’ve always been a 911 turbo s fan over the gt range, so I really would be buying this car for pure pleasure rather than a collectors item, however if there’s only 29 in the uk and I had it for 30 years and it just so happened it was then worth £5M !! What a bonus

very nice, listed new at £186k, that gave it a £30k premium over a standard 911s so you would say it was correctly priced relative to it's features...is it now worth the £100k+ premium over list now being asked?? absolutely no way.

Golden yellow metallic is an unbelievably beautiful color that contrasts the grey carbon fiber perfectly. Getting this exclusive car in any other color is a crime.

I recently watched a video and it shows how the wheel is sprayed gold and then black, they follow up and laser etch the black to expose the gold, it was an incredible process.

I have a 2016 991.1 Porsche Exclusive in lava orange. It literally came with every single available option. Any thoughts about rarity.

The Turbo S Exclusive came out way before the Project Gold 993 did, so not sure how it inspired the color how you explained it.

Stunning. The one car I’d seek out and pursue a sale on if I could afford it.

997GT2RS and the 997 Sport Classic and 997 Speedster I believe were also plaque numbered. I don’t think project gold inspired the 991.2 Turbo S Exclusive, but the other way round?

The 2015 911 GTS Club Coupe is a far more exclusive 911. Also a product of Porsche Exclusive, it was limited to 60 examples and only made available to members of the Porsche Club of America. It was a special project between the PCA and Porsche to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the PCA. All examples were painted in a new, unique color called Club Blau. The color will never be used again on a Porsche model. The car has a number of unique interior and exterior details to set if apart from a normal 991 GTS. Not the same amount of bling as the Turbo S exclusive, but more understated and more exclusive at the same time.
