My much older sister raised me as a child. She would talk to us this way and even allow us to be very angry and have space instead of explaining in the moment of high upset. After I felt better or less angry, she would listen and respond as to why it’s so important for her to teach us - to help us with life bc she loves us and wants us to know the truth while we are young. It always ended with being held and loved on. The bonding and love that was felt from loving teaching and discipline was so deep I can never forget.
