In this video you can drive along on the touristic route Fylkesvei 63 from Eidsdal to Geiranger in the Western Norwegian fjords. One of the most beautiful roads in Norway, it takes drivers past waterfalls and the famous picturesque UNESCO Geirangerfjord.

Especially in the summer months, this road is busy with tourists and large buses that take cruise tourists up to the Geirangerfjord viewpoint. Almost every day a different cruise ship is docked at Geiranger, this time it was quite a large one from the MSC company.

In the town of Geiranger is the Norwegian fjord center and museum, which I can recommend visiting in order to learn more about how these fjords were shaped over different ice ages in the past.

Hope you enjoy this scenic drive along despite the rain!

These landscapes are so perfect and enchanting that I immediately want to live in Norway. 😃Although I also live in a mountainous region, the mountains in Poland are much smaller and we generally do not have such monumental valleys. Thank you for this beautiful video. ❤

The roadworks you passed were the end points of a 4.8 km tunnel into the mountain side on your right. It will replace the current road which is very exposed to avalanches during winter.

I have driven this road back in 2018 heading to Eidsdal. Just before you descend the mountain towards Geiranger, there is a toll road to a viewing point of Geiranger and its majestic cruise ship visitors(Dalsnibba). Fantastic view up there.

Very beautiful. May I know around what time of the year you recorded this? Is summer a good choice to visit since less rain and less waterfalls?
