Many people judge people with face tattoos; unfortunately. Jelly Roll recently testified in front of a Senate hearing regarding the Fentanyl crisis. He was very articulate and well spoken. He also did not hide his past during his testimony.

My cousin was a huge jelly roll fan before jelly roll was famous. My cousin was a huge alcoholic and passed away from alcohol poisoning at like 38 years old. He played jelly roll at his funeral 5 years ago. When this song came out, all I could hear was my cousins name. Jelly is singing about my cousin. The family wouldn't answer the phone because he was always drunk when he would call. I knew he felt alone, and that's why he drank. I wrote a message to him, letting him know we failed him as a family. We were surrounding him as he passed, but it was too late. Even though we were there in the end, we weren't there when he really needed us. This song will always hit me hard.

I love you Brian.

Nobody ever talks about the good Bunnie has done they always try to shit talk her but I love that even tho she didn't know they was gonna work but she still helped him get his baby when she didn't have too. That's absolutely beautiful

A lot of ppl thought Bunnie was a gold digger until Jelly set them straight. He told his story. He was homeless & she had the money but it goes beyond that. They are both wonderful ppl who give & help ppl all the time. I ❤️ them both.

Listen to “She” by Jelly Roll, I cry to literally almost every one of his songs, but with She I’m bawling. We feel his music because it’s so relatable & finally someone who “gets it.” since my husband passed from his addiction his music has helped me more with my grief than any counselor I’ve spoken to.

You should check out Craig Morgan’s song “The father, my son, and the Holy Ghost”. He wrote it after his 19 year old son drowned.

People who suffer like this are usually very empathetic. They understand the pain and hurt in our lives. They are tremendously talented at helping others but so poor at helping themselves. I speak from the experience of being empathetic and fighting depression. I pushed those that loved me away in the past and also treated them so poorly. I've been lucky to have someone who came into my life to help me with health issues. She taught me to love myself again. I appreciate and love her to the moon and back for making me want to live again. I can never love her enough for literally saving my life!

Concrete angel by Martina McBride, The little Girl by John Michael Montgomery and then Alyssa Lies by Jason Michael Carroll. Listen to them all in that order, I guarantee you’ll be in tears by the middle of the second song

What most miss about this song is that most likely he wrote that right after his amazing wife saved him because I guarantee that he didn't see himself as anything more than a burden to everyone around him and he was confused in this song as how anyone could see him as anything other than a burden

Here you go, you like to cry: Concrete Angel and Independence Day by Martina McBride, Alyssa Lies by John Michael Carroll, Roan by Taylor Swift, Don't Let the Old Man In and Cryin For Me by Toby Keith, We Don't Fight Anymore by Carly Pearce FT Chris Stapleton.

When I hear this song it reminds me of my cousin who wasn't able to pull herself out of her addiction. Nobody had heard anything from her for over a year. Last year her mother received a phone call from a coroner's office in another state notifying her they had found her daughter deceased in an alley from an overdose. I hope she finally found peace,

Jellyroll said it best..
"Real music for real people"
This describes his music completely.

Jelly Roll started off as a rapper and his rap music is amazing! Him and Struggle Jennings (grandson of country music outlaw Waylon Jennings) have some really amazing songs together.

Struggle Jennings like Jelly Roll went to prison for selling drugs and both turned their lives around.
