Such an underrated video. Great content.
Coming from type 1 diabetic that could see the results of insulin resistance being lowered by sticking to such protocol. Managing stable glucose level have become so easy comparing to managing it with higher insuline resistance.
Inflamation is a big factor, but diet - reduced fat intake, and also focusing on good fats, trying to consume them as snacks in between meals (let the cells deal with fats before you invite the glucose again). Eating mainly plant based, small amount of eggs, rarely good quality meat.
Worked for me. And many others as I have learned from Mastering Diabetes YouTube Channel.

For those who have made comment about how Juliet pronounces insulin, check your facts in google. Most people say it the wrong way. Juliet is pronouncing it correctly. 😊

Glucose is not the preferred fuel, it's prioritized. Big difference. Cells have to use glucose first because of blood glucose homeostatis.

Prioritized does not mean the same thing as preferred. If there is ethanol in the bloodstream the body will metabolize that BEFORE either glucose or fat. Does that mean we should fuel ourselves with ethanol preferably over glucose? NO! the body prioritizes ethanol because the longer ethanol remains in the bloodstream the more damage it does. The same can be said of glucose. Ever heard of glycation?

What happened to fructose in your explanation? It’s 50% of sugar and an even higher percentage in HFCS. There are no essential carbs. People listening to you might think that eating carbohydrates is essential. For millions of years humans ate a much higher percentage of fat for energy along with protein. Insulin resistance is primarily caused by eating way too many carbohydrates, especially added sugars in highly processed foods.
