My father in law, as a soldier, recovered bodies of crushed Soviet soldiers, back in 1965. and told us a horror stories about that - but yes ! It's ultimate irony, as you said, sir.

CarGo is an app very popular in Serbia, instead Uber.

There is a much better and much more interesting trail to the top of Avala. Take the road where the cars descend from the top, and then turn onto the hiking trail through the forest. Longer way up, but fun. It has a mountaineering signs along the track, and the road is near, so you can't loose you way
