What is Predictive Validity?

Predictive validity, also known as criterion validity or criterion-related validity, is the ability of a psychometric assessment to predict certain real-world outcomes that are associated with the psychological construct it measures.

My source (Maltby et al., 2022) says that predictive ability is not the same as criterion-related validity, it is a form of criterion-related validity that asks "can the test predict future performance, behaviour or outcomes?".
