You may or may not have heard the story of how I became the most hated man in tech—for at least a few days—so, I’ll tell it here. Not because I am a spotless shining example of civility and rational behavior, but because the story is about the real evil that is being spread amongst people who are claiming to spread the message of diversity and inclusiveness.

Where to begin … where to begin. Ah, let’s see, how about at the point I first got involved.

It was a dark and stormy night. I was sitting at my keyboard carefully pondering how I could unleash more sexism and racism into the tech community—as I usually do every night when I am in front of my computer.

A friend of mine messaged me on Facebook to ask me if I had seen what was happening to a mutual acquaintance of ours, Aimee.

No, of course I hadn’t seen it because, as a rule—much like the humans in the Matrix avoiding the freeway—I avoid Twitter. Twitter is a cesspool of all the most vile and spurious things wrong with society today. It's the birthplace, cradle, day care, and boarding school of neo-Marxist postmodern drivel. (Am I showing my hand a little too much?)

Anyway, he told me that the same group who were mobbing and attacking people to cancel them were now attacking Aimee and trying to destroy her career and reputation.

Basically, this is what I call the CANCEL CULTURE.

I think what you finally got around to at about 1:18:19 hits the nail on the head "...if you were needful, it was fair..." which is a possibly cynical way of acknowledging what many people realize to be true: there is a big difference between equality (of opportunity) and equity (of outcomes). There are always going to be some bad actors who will try to game the system to make sure they get an equal (or more) share of the outcome, even if they did not contribute equally to the efforts needed to produce it.

At the 3:00 mark the description of the students actions sound like

1.) Stanford Prison experiment
2.) Milgram experiment
3.) Stockholm syndrome

all rolled into one. We can call it the 'Evergreen Effect'.

We are tribal in nature. It doesn't have to be based on race, but most often is. It is easy enough that simple minds don't get confused in the implementation.

Unfortunately Americans are woefully misinformed in regards to phenomenological thought. American academics all went into the direction of „pure Reason“ and ridiculous speculation Of phenomenology without honesty, pure egotism.

Jordan Peterson reintroduced Jung, which gave the USA a little degree of honesty. It’s up to us to develop what he reintroduced.

I don’t agree with all of Peterson’s conclusions but they are in my opinion within the window of legitimate debate. And in a very deep way.

My hope is people can abandon left and right and listen to the value of the individuating human being.

I like that Boyce is ambiguous politically as well. I am informed by both left ideas and libertarian ideas. And would love to see a true left libertarianism politics to emerge. Yang & Gabbard habe elements, and Sanders “universalism“ is in the ball park.

I am deeply concerned by identity politics both left and right.

If there is such a thing as a "Get Out of School Free" card, and all that implies (that the basis of education in a supposed racist system) means that your oppression earns you the right to not apply yourself toward any activity that can be perceived as acting white - then ultimately would this not lead to a "Get Out of Work Free" card - same thing, rinse and repeat.
That could look like a real sweet deal to any young person overwhelmed by the idea of a looming meritocracy in their life.
