This is so because the leaders we choose are not business oriented so all they know is to go for loans from IMF, China etc to develop the country. They are given this tax system as the solution to generate revenue so that the government do not build state companies like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah did which will bring big revenue to run the country. This system is to keep us poor whiles taxes are waved off for these private companies from foreigners and justified that the private companies need more money to employ more people. Our leaders do not think of how low these private companies pay Ghanaians. sometimes not paying SSNIT too. They only export raw materials for low revenue and import almost everything loses money. Private sector is so wicked because there are no state competitors to give the citizens better options. These leaders say government can not employ everyone as an excuse without government creating any state companies but want the private sector to do that and take the profits to their homes in Ghana and foreign lands.
