Another thing we learned from COVID is that Robert has a hell of a sense of humor. Thanks for coming out of your shell, man.

Daryl is the singer Robert has always dreamed of, and it's because Daryl could switch from full-gear rock n' roll into subtle mysticism at will. It's so wonderful to see these two do something together in recorded video ! Hopefully, they get together to tour someday, that would be amazing.

Whew! Hot stuff! Love the energy here and how Daryl is really throwing himself into every line in it, from aggressive to sublime. And to see Mr. Fripp's smile conveying pure joy is a delight.

This is such a great performance. Daryl and his band plus Mr Robert Fripp... A magical moment in history.

There’s something very unusually satisfying to see Fripp playing and almost smiling at the same time.

This is even better than the album version! Hall’s phrasing of the melody and lyrics is great.

Ahh, the memories! I heard rumors of the 1977 recording session back in the day, but I waited forever for something to be released. When I was told that Sacred Songs had finally hit the streets, I immediately snapped up a copy. My prog rock friends ridiculed me for buying the album, expecting to hear another version of Hall & Oates. Much to their shock, they heard a side of Daryl Hall that the vast majority of civilization still has no idea exists. Under the auspices of Robert Fripp, blue-eyed soul is a completely unique animal, and I sincerely hope that this video shows the world just how incredibly versatile Daryl Hall truly is.

Don't lose your lease, brother!

This is absolutely amazing. I bought Exposure when I was 19 and just loved it so much. Back when it came out it was challenging music and it was hard to share that love with friends. Thanks to Daryl's willingness to make musical love with anyone, his killer band, and YouTube, we can all share something really unique and beautiful

Robert's West Country accent is as strong as ever. Born in Wimborne, Dorset more than seven decades ago! Another thing that cracks me up is how he, and all the band have got their mean, heavy faces on lol! 😂😂😂

Man! This is some of the best shit I've heard DH do! They should promptly put out a record with new tunes! FRIPP is a badass!

Fripp is a unique guitarist.
He always comes across as a music teacher who observes everyone like a hawk with an all-judging eye.

Holy f*ck. Daryl can do anything. Robert F. = amazing compositions. Band = supreme talent, too.

Hard to believe those guys haven't played that song in over 40 years. Imagine if they practiced a few times . So good I keep this on repeat. Hard to believe these guys in their late 70s. I think being a rock star is good for your health and longevity.

Fripp is both the cool and classiest fella alive.

Proof that Daryl is right where he is supposed to be after all these GLAD he's back in the studio with Robert Fripp. Daryl's electric and fully loving his engagement. Robert Fripp a delight and their talents explosive. The Arts leading the way!

Kinda amazing how fripp's being messing with the same riff over and over again with infinite variations for the last 40 years. into the frying pan, level five and the Projekcts Thrak spin-off comes to mind

OMFG! I like this *better* than the original. DH hasn't lost anything vocally, and the band is kickass!

Had the pleasure of seeing Robert Fripp live. He was there on a stool like an idol. Just had that star presence. fantastic. Absolute master. He hardly moved other than his hands. Everyone else was moving around but he didn't need to. He was the focus and center of it all no matter what anyone else played, and they were all good players.

I remember buying “Sacred Songs” when it was new, I never thought I’d get to hear “NYCNY” in a live setting. Great performance! Thanks to Daryl and “this Fripp” for making an old guy feel like a kid again.
