What an amazing video. Love the enthusiasm of that man in explaining.

And I always this found presenter lady cute.I remember she is from some country from Europe & English is not the main language.

It was funny when she said Thankyou & he explained the remaining things of the painting. Shows how deep in meaning these arts are.

I own two amazing Thangkas. Go to Nepal and get one or more and check out the Tibetan carpet shops in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

The color composition, types of figures of any thangka is first obtained from translating the scriptures, one should be thorough in the Buddhist scriptures to make a thangka. There is an abundance of thangka artists that has sketches obtained from old masters or have the sketching skill from visualizing thangka from scriptures, but they use various color composition that doesn't convey the visualizations correctly which deters growth in ones dharma practices. So if you are a person seeking thangkas for dharma practices it would be unwise to buy thangka from just about anywhere. There is also a rampant semi- plagiarism of thangkas which are originally incorrect as well (ironic). So yeah, visit learned Buddhist scholars or high monks to know where you can find accurate thangkas.

Plz try to explain the Thanka properly or first try to learn the Buddhist terms and study the text more thoroughly. This gives a bad knoqledge to people who are just new to Buddhism..
