Wood charcoal exports by country were around 1.29 billion dollars in 2020, although the value of exported charcoal decreased by 0.2 percent. Indonesia is the world's largest exporter of charcoal. Three major suppliers, on the other hand, reported a drop in export charcoal sales. Philippines dropped -35.3 percent, Belgium dropped -22.8 percent, and Cuba dropped -6.9 percent.

Indonesia is the highest exporter with an average of 240.5 million dollars which amounts to 8.7 percent of total charcoal exports.
China follows indonesia with an export value of 166.9 million dollars accounting for 13 percent of global charcoal exports.
The third largest exporter of charcoal in the world is Poland. Poland is responsible for 6.5 percent of global charcoal exports valued at 83.8 million dollars.
