Audi & Ducati #ComeTogether: Pikes Peak

Throughout their storied histories, Audi and Ducati forged legends racing up Pikes Peak. With the 90th annual running of the treacherous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb at hand, the two iconic brands chose to come together and pit today's expressions of performance against the mountain that has crowned each with championship glory. For Audi and Ducati fans in the U.S. there's an added bonus: A chance to experience the power of the Audi RS 5 and the Ducati Multistrada together in an unparalleled ride and drive experience.

And to give back to the wildfire-ravaged community surrounding Pikes Peak, Audi is donating to and helping raise awareness for "Battle the Blaze," a donation fund established by the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

It takes a lot of effort and a bad assed helicopter and pilot to get those shots at that altitude, not to mention a really buttoned up crew rider and driver. Really well done!!!

I think Audi and Ducati will go on very well together. I heard rumors from my local Duc dealer that Audi already took a closer look at the Desmo forced valve steering in order to use it in racing- and S engines for cars.

You haven't missed it yet... you can see the RS5 and the Ducati in action on race day, Sunday, August 12th in the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb! The tollgate opens at 4 a.m. for spectators.

Great video! For now the RS5 hits 0-100 km/h 4.2 seconds, in the test. That would be awesome, if this special edition the RS5 get Audis a new 4.0 T engine. Then that RS5 is fast, very fast.

Indeed the road was blocked off. It was filmed on August 5th, they let us up a little ways then the ranger had the road blocked off so we ended up waiting to finish our climb for about 20 or 30 minutes. During that time the bike crashed and they had to get the ambulance up.
