Some of the women featured were simply outspoken and forthright and it's unfair/untrue to label them cruel

This list is ridiculous. Considering what studios used to put to these women through and the control they tried to exercise over their lives it's amazing they didn't all end up in insane asylums.

I don't agree with the title of this video. There has been nothing " cruel" about these actresses. These women are bold and accomplished. Also, Stanwyck was one of the most beloved stars who was honored by directors and co- stars

They were women who didn't put up with crap especially in Hollywood. They weren't submissive.

Marlene Dietrich was cruel because she became an American citizen and helped entertain our troops overseas during WWII??? Sounds like she deserved a Medal of Freedom not accusations of cruelty.

Those who knew Stanwyck said she was the sweetest most dedicated friend, who would go out on a limb to help those who were new to the industry. Not sure where your info is from, maybe producers?

Bette (Betty not Bet) Davis never quipped "I'd like to kiss you but I just washed my hair" to a suitor. That was one of her character's lines in "Cabin in the Cotton."

Most of these women didn't fit traditional gender stereotypes.

Strong women who stood up for themselves in an industry ruled by men

So if you know the right way to do things, demand to be treated with respect, be outspoken & speak your mind….you are cruel? Difficult to work with? What about virtually EVERY Hollywood director? Give me strength.

Soooo, a woman wants to have a say in her own life and career and she’s considered obstinate and badly behaved? Ooookay then. 🙄

Sorry, but so much of your editorial is badly researched. Swanson never drank, and was a stickler for healthy eating; worked in regional theatre until her late 70's and was never delusional like her "Sunset Boulevard" character.

Correction:
Ms. Bette Davis' script line, "I'd kiss ya, but I just washed my hair, " was from her first hit movie, not something that she ever said to anyone off the set.
Additionally, Ms. Davis told Johnny Carson that this script dialogue was one of her favorite script lines...😁
You're welcome.

The title of this YouTube post is very misleading. These women weren't cruel, just bold and outspoken for their time. I wish content was accurately titled, not sensationalised. As I understand it, this is due to the algorithm of YouTube not highlighting standard titles. I truly find that disappointing, I much prefer to know what I'm about to view.

Betty Davis was not cruel. She spoke her mind, she didn't sugar coat anything.

Faye Dunaway has been diagnosed with a mental illness. She is currently in therapy and taking medication. I’ve been down the same road and I wish her all the best.

Thank you for the video. I believe these women were determined driven and focused not cruel. I wonder how the male actors would be labeled.
